About Me

Hi, I’m Rajmohan Jena — a 27-year-old microbiologist by profession and a full-time tinkerer by passion. Daytime I work in lab environments; evenings I’m often wiring a new project or tuning a 3D print.

I host and maintain multiple services (Home Assistant, Immich, SeaDrive, custom Docker services) and enjoy the whole stack — from hardware to web UIs. My Immich server keeps my photo backups tidy, SeaDrive mounts remote storage like a local disk, and Klipper runs my 3D prints faster and cleaner.

At work I’m a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, on a DBT-funded project screening potential antivirals for SARS-CoV. I work in BSL3 labs and run assays like plaque, MTT, qRT-PCR and Western blots — so yes, I love both pipettes and pipelines.

My tech journey started with a Raspberry Pi in 2021 — now I run Docker containers, automate my home, and have even built a smart mirror. I enjoy turning ideas into working projects: hardware, firmware, and the occasional late-night script that saves the day.

2024 was a milestone year — I cleared CSIR NET (AIR 155) and GATE-XL. But more than badges, I care about the next thing to learn — whether it’s R for data analysis, RNA-seq workflows, or debugging a stubborn container at 2 AM.

This site isn’t a formal CV — it’s my little digital playground. Science + servers + coffee = what I do. Balancing research and hobbies? Simple — sacrifice a little sleep, gain a lot of dopamine.
